Basic Instructions for Recording

  1. Insert your flash drive (must be FAT32 formatted) into the USB hub. This will turn on the studio lights and the video preview window will appear.

  2. When you are ready to record, press the large silver button. You will have a 5 second countdown to position yourself in front of the camera before recording officially begins.

  3. When you are finished, press the button again to stop recording. Wait a few moments for your file to be written to your flash drive.

  4. You may now remove your flash drive from the USB hub. The studio lights will turn off and the One Button Studio software will reset. Your recording is saved to your flash drive as an .mp4 file.

Studio rules and expectations

  • DO NOT move any of the equipment, especially the camera, lights or microphone as all the equipment has been configured for optimal performance in all scenarios within the space. The microphone, especially, is a highly-sensitive microphone that MUST remain at a distance to prevent sound distortion.
  • DO NOT attempt to adjust the backdrop. Should you suspect there is a problem, please contact the Instructional Technology team.
  • MAKE SURE you stand on the "X" so you can be recorded in the best scenario and not in the way of the projected image if you are using that feature.
  • If you wish to use the chromakey feature, we recommend you use the "green screen" option. (don't know if this is worthwhile mentioning or not)
